Signing to Polydor in 1994, Shed Seven's debut individual "Mark"/"Casino Girl" elevated few eyebrows, merely their irregular travail, "Dolphin," reached the UK Top 30; undermentioned a third base single, "Speakeasy," the chemical group shut out the year with the discharge of their debut LP, Change Giver. Although widely laid-off as mere pretenders to the Britpop throne, subsequent Shed Seven singles including "Where Have You Been Lately?" and "Ocean Pie" continued to strike the charts, and although American success was non upcoming, the quartet achieved megastardom in, of all places, Thailand. Heralded by the strike "Acquiring Better," 1996's Maximum High earned stronger reviews than its predecessor, and after spending much of the next deuce age on the route, Shed Seven returned in 1998 with Have It Ride; when the album was non a gaolbreak success, Polydor dropped the band shortly after. |

Metallica To Host Their Own Radio Station
Metallica are to host their possess radio place in the U.S., in the endure up to the tone ending of their forthcoming 'Death Magnetic' album.
The rockers will launch 'Mandatory Metallica' on August 16th, which will run for six weeks. The station will escort the propagate of live recordings, interviews, rare songs and highlights from their back catalogue - including tracks from their personal collections.
Fans tin can tune into XM Radio channel 51 to hear Metallica on the airwaves. 'Death Magnetic' is then released on September 12th.

Report: Lindsay's Behaving Herself
According to a report in Wednesday's New York Post, Lindsay Lohan, who was once considered such a liability on any movie set that she had trouble getting work in the last year, has tamed her wild ways and is now the very model of a responsible actress on the set of her upcoming film, Labor Pains.
"She's showing up early," the Post quotes a source as saying. "She knows her lines and her co-workers actually like her... She's a total pro now."
And what could be behind this 180-degree turnaround in her behavior? According the paper, the producers should be thanking La Lohan's constant companion, DJ Samantha Ronson, who reportedly "has a calming effect on her."

I'm not getting married, says Johansson
Following much media speculation that she could be about to walk down the aisle, a representative for actress Scarlett Johansson has said the star and actor Ryan Reynolds aren't getting married.
A New York newspaper and websites had reported the 23-year-old was seen shopping for wedding dresses with her mother and sister in Los Angeles.
But Johansson's spokesperson told Usmagazine.com: "A family member is getting married, not her. She is not engaged."
